Avnet signs IP Semiconductors - Off the Shelf - Brief Article

Cilicon, a business unit of phoenix-based Avnet Inc., has signed a distribution and technical support agreement with IP Semiconductors of San Jose. Cilicon will provide distribution services, while Avnet Design Services will offer technical support. The products involved include the SPEEDRouter and SPEEDAnalyzer families as well as the associated development systems and IP cores for Xilinx FPGAs.

The products are programmable integrated packet processing solutions for high-performance routers and switches. "Avnet Design Services is excited to have IP Semiconductor as a supplier partner," said Warren Miller, VP of market for the unit. "Designers of high-speed networking routers can use IP Semiconductors' products to construct flexible solutions for high-speed Internet Protocol routing and management."
