Already benefiting from its recent acquisition of Dynamic Pictures, 3Dlabs has introduced the Oxygen RPM 3-D AGP graphics accelerator card targeted at professional 3D graphics users. The Oxygen RPM card uses two parallel graphics processors with 64Mbytes of SDRAM graphics memory for true color graphics.
The board is priced at $1,499 and is available now. The graphics board allows a user to upgrade to four graphics processors and 128MB of SDRAM with an expansion card that is priced at $1,199. The upgraded Oxygen card would deliver a peak fill-rate of 120 million bilinear filtered pixels per second and 60 million tri-linear MIP-mapped pixels per second. The expansion card is slated to be available in 3Q98.
