Broadcom Says Homeward Ho!

Look for Broadcom Corp. to enter the home networking business early this week. The company is expected to announce new technology dubbed MediaShare and a partnership with Tut Systems Inc. as early as Monday. The two companies will demo the technology at the Demo '99 Conference in Indian Hills, Calif.
The technology will use in-home copper telephone lines to build a network that will run as fast as 10 megabits per second.
