Digi-Key Corp. to Break Ground for a Major Addition

DIGI-KEY CORP. OF THIEF RIVER FALLS, MINN., ANNOUNCED YESterday that it would break ground for a major addition to its office and warehouse facility on June 6. The addition will consist of 300,000 square feet, with 200,000 square feet going to warehouse and 100,000 square feet allotted for office space When completed, Digi-Key's overall facility will exceed 600,000 square feet.
Ronald Stordahl, Digi-Key chairman, noted that the expansion is designed to accommodate the company's growing product offerings and its sales increase of 60 percent during 2000. The company expects the expansion to be completed over the next 12 to 15 months.
