Agilent updates Fault Detective with Test Analyzer - The Test Floor - Agilent. Fault Detective Test Analyzer - Brief Article - Product Announcement

Electronic News, July 8, 2002

AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES INC. INTRODUCED the Agilent FaultDetective Test Analyzer, an addition to its Fault Detective software that improves its diagnostic capability. The system also reduces the need to repair or rework circuit boards and electronic component designs and cuts production costs by as much as 5 percent to 7 percent, Agilent claimed.

Test Analyzer performs a Monte Carlo simulation within the Fault Detective model, identifying possible component failures in a design and creating a collection of predictive test results and associated diagnoses. Customers can use the results to optimize automated functional test capabilities and quickly identify, isolate and repair faults within designs, according to Agilent. Fault Detective Test Analyzer is available now for $12,000. To use Test Analyzer, customers must also have a license for Agilent FaultDetective Developer Application and Fault Detective Run Time Engine.
