TTI Adds Three Lines - Off the Shelf - AVX Corp., Panasonic and Pulse Engineering - Brief Article

Electronic News, Jan 7, 2002 by Rob Spiegel

FORT WORTH, TEXAS-BASED TTI INC. EXPANDED ITS LINE card to include authorized distributor agreements with three suppliers: AVX Corp., Panasonic and Pulse Engineering. Mike Morton, TTI's senior VP of global product marketing, said the addition of the new lines was based on customer requests for additional AVX support and TTI's desire to expand its noncommodity product offering.

"Products that fill product line voids and complement our existing supplier base will be the primary area of expansion," Morton said. "We also will place a great deal of importance on building on our product portfolio of advanced and specialty-type components." Morton explained TTI's motivation to bring on each individual supplier. "AVX resonator, microwave and filtering products will complement our advanced ceramic product portfolio. Panasonic's leadership position in surface-mounted film capacitors and its excellent reputation in the aluminum electrolytic products will round out TTI's portfolio in these capacitor products. Pulse Engin eering brings a wide range of specialty magnetic products including inductors, transformers and chokes to TTI," Morton said.
