Cadence Design Systems to OEM InterComm - Off the Shelf - Brief Article - Product Announcement

OHIO DESIGN AUTOMATION INC. OF NASHUA, N.H., HAS signed an agreement with Cadence Design Systems Inc. of SanJose to manufacture and ship InterComm, OHIO's PCB interoperability tool for mixed design environments. InterComm will be integrated into the Cadence Expert Series product line. "This partnership solidifies InterComm as the EDA gateway to the world of product life-cycle management (PLM)," said John Lane, president and CEO of OHIO.
"OHIO lives in the world between EDA and PLM. Our mission is to give an entire enterprise effective access to the company's IP, contained within the database of today's leading schematics and PCB CAD systems." OHIO describes InterComm as an Internet-based communication systems that enables unrestricted, company-wide access to IP inside CAE/ECAD databases.
