Same face, new place - The Antenna - Edward Breen from Motorola to Tyco International - Brief Article

Electronic News, July 29, 2002

EDWARD BREEN STARTED LAST WEEK AS MOTOROLA'S PRESIdent and COO and ended it as Tyco International's new chairman and CEO. He will replace Dennis Kozlowski, who resigned from Tyco shortly before being indicted on tax evasion charges.

Breen, who only held the Motorola position for seven months, was conspicuously absent from the company's Smart Networks Developer Forum early last week in New Orleans, which was a dead giveaway that something was afoot. He'll have his work cut out for him as Tyco tries to spruce up its image.

Motorola, meanwhile, has replaced Breen with Mike Zafirovski, currently executive VP and president of Motorola's Personal Communications Sector.
