Applied Wave Research wins $7.4m funding - By Design - Brief Article

EDA COMPANY APPLIED WAVE RESEARCH (AWR) has secured second-round funding with $7.4 million. The company said it would use the investment to accelerate development of its high-frequently EDA tools and to expand its sales team. "This infusion of capital will both accelerate the development of newer, more powerful products and build upon a solid platform for RF design," said Faysal Sohail, general partner of CMEA Ventures, who led the funding round.
Other investors included Synopsys Inc. and several of AWR's distributors.
