Electronic News, August 13, 2001 by Rob Spiegel

NU HORIZONS ELECTRONICS CORP. OF MELVILLE, N.Y., LAST week announced that it amended its agreement with Integrated Circuit Systems Inc. (ICS) of Valley Forge, Pa., to exclusively distribute ICS' (nasdaq: ICST) range of silicon timing devices throughout North America and Canada. Previously, Nu Horizons distributed ICS' products on a nonexclusive basis. Nu Horizons (nasdaq: NUHC) stated that the two - companies have launched a series of actions to ensure customer support through the transition. Nu Horizons has started performing specialized training for all of its field-applications engineers and sales teams throughout the country.

"Being the exclusive distributor for ICS exposes Nu Horizons to a new and broader customer base," said Arthur Nadata, president and chief executive officer of Nu Horizons. "Nu Horizons' focus is on the design process, and we are committed to providing a much higher level of in-depth knowledge and technical understanding of the ICS product line."

Hock Tan, ICS' president and CEO, also noted the focus on design that will come through the exclusive agreement. "By consolidating distribution through Nu Horizons, ICS expects to increase the company's focus on design-in response and support for all levels of customers."
