Littelfuse to Buy Harris Unit

Littelfuse Inc. signed a definitive agreement to purchase the Suppression Products Group of the Harris Corp. The group, formerly part of Harris's Semiconductor Sector, had global sales of about $38 million for the year ended July 2. It manufactures transient voltage suppression devices that provide circuit protection for products in a number of markets.
Harris has been unloading operations outside of its main focus of communications equipment.
