Photronics Beats Expectations, Posts Q3 Revenue of $85M

PHOTORONICS INC. POSTED sales of $85 million for the third fiscal quarter, down slightly from the year-ago quarter's $85.6 million. Sequentially, sales dropped 15 percent from the company's record $100.6 million in its second quarter. Jupiter, Fla.-based Photronics (nasdaq: PLAB) said revenues from 0.18 micron and below comprised 12 percent of total sales.
Net income for the quarter ended July 31 was $1.8 million, or 6 cents per diluted share, compared with $6.9 million, or 24 cents per diluted share, a year ago.
