Electronic News, Nov 11, 2002 by Rob Spiegel

THE SBM DIVISION OF MELVILLE, N.Y.-BASED ARROW Electronics Inc. last week announced an exclusive agreement with Chicago-based Logical Networks Inc., a division of London's Logical Group Ltd., to handle Logical's HP high-end server and storage orders. Charles McPherson, VP of sales and marketing for Arrow's SBM Division in Englewood, chasing said that the agreement came after a six-month pilot program in which Logical placed a portion of its HP orders through Arrow's SBM Division.

Arrow said the deal represents more than $100 million in orders that Logical had previously purchased directly from the supplier. "This enhanced relationship between Arrow and Logical has been a year in the making," said John Hafen, president, North America, Logical Networks. "We have been purchasing IBM, SUN and Veritas products through Arrow for quite some time now. As HP's largest UNIX reseller in the United States, utilizing an experienced and efficient distribution partner for that business is critical to long-term success."
