RIVERONE INC. OF WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CALIF. NAMED Bahram Nour-Omid the new chairman at the supply chain company. Previously, Nour-Omid was founder and CEO of StudioXChange, a developer of procurement software for the film and production industries. He also served as EVP and director at Essentus Inc. a SCM company for the apparel industry.

RiverOne also introduced the release of version 4.5 of its INTERactive software suite. The company released a new version of its SCM product, adding more capability for customers to reach beyond one-on-one collaboration and out to multi-tiers of trading partners. "This new release is very customer-driven," said Chris Smith, EVP of RiverOne. "Nobody lives in the world of buyer and seller any longer. So with this release we took the third party's perspective. The third party will be able to se the OEM's demand. And, the OEM will be able to see what's going on with the EMS provider, the vendor and the distributor." Customers currently using the new release include SMART Technologies, a division of Solectron, and Sony Logistics of America, among others.
