Mattson Technology - Concept Systems Design - Company Business and Marketing - Brief Article

Mattson Technology signed an agreement to acquire Concept Systems Design, a global supplier of epitaxy systems. Mattson will issue approximately 800,000 shares of its common stock in exchange for the outstanding capital stock of Concept. In addition, subject to certain conditions, up to about 550,000 additional shares may be issuable by Mattson Technology.
Given the recent price of Mattson's stock, the indicated value of the acquisition may be up to about $7.4 million. According to Dataquest market figures published in May, Mattson holds the number two position in the worldwide strip market, utilizing a strategy to implement advanced process technology on a high-productivity platform.
