Denali Software - offers simulation models supporting Dual Data Rate - Company Business and Marketing

Electronic News, August 10, 1998 by Ann Steffora, Chad Fasca

Simulation models that support Dual Data Rate (DDR), an emerging DRAM memory architecture, are now available from Denali Software. Denali's support for DDR came as a direct result of the company's commitment to stay on the leading edge of the memory technology, the company said. These newly available models are used in conjunction with Denali's Memory Modeler, in which designers create models for new memory components or reuse existing virtual components.

Memory Modeler has a class-based software architecture for a structure for tailoring models to key specifications of the memory. Class-based, object-oriented models include DRAM, SRAM, SDRAM, SGRAM, DDR, SSRAM, FLASH, PROM, SEPROM and FIFO. Pricing for Denali's Memory Modeler starts at $5,000, including models and includes support for both VHDL and Verilog HDLs, and is available on Microsoft Windows 95 and NT, SunOS, Solaris and HP-UX operating systems.
