Electronic News, August 24, 1998 by Bernard Levine, Heidi Elliott, Ann Steffora
FastParts, Inc., an Internet-based business-to-business trading exchange for electronic components, and Century Microelectronics, a manufacturer of memory modules, have reached an agreement in which FastParts has become an authorized distributor for Century's memory products. This agreement initiates the strategic expansion of FastParts trading services into memory modules.
FastParts' OEM and contract assembler members may now purchase Century's memory modules on the FastParts Website (http://www.fastparts.com) in addition to having access to FastParts' traditional spot-market Trading Exchange and Auction venues. The strategic E-commerce trading floor for Century's product is planned to be launched within three months.
