Electronic News, August 31, 1998 by Gale Morrison, Peter Brown, Dylan McGrath

Integrated Device Technology (IDT), which lays claim to being the industry's leading supplier of first-in/first-out (FIFO) memories in terms of units shipped, introduced what it says are the first 100MHz FIFOs to operate at 3.3 volts. The new line of 3.3V, 100MHz SyncFIFO, DualSync and SuperSync FIFOs are available in densities up to 1-megabit.

Pricing for the new FIFOs starts at $9.70 in 10,000-piece quantities. The devices are currently sampling, with production slated for 4Q98 in both commercial and industrial temperature versions.
