He shoots! He scores! And scores and scores and scores ...

College freshman Dan Loriaux recently earned a spot in the Guinness World Records for scoring the most three-point shots in one minute. He sank 25 baskets, breaking the 20-shot record set by Washington Wizards shooting coach Dave Hopla in 2006.

Loriaux, who attends the University of California, Santa Barbara (but doesn't play on its basketball team), says his older brother inspired him. "We have Guinness World Records books in our basement, and my brother was looking through them at the basketball records ... and he was like, "Dan, I think you can beat that.'" Loriaux isn't satisfied with his record yet. "When I watch the tape, all I see is the misses," he says. He's hoping to beat his own record this summer. "I know I can do better than 25."
