Talk about crazy in love! Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo began building this gigantic palace in A.D. 631 to celebrate his marriage to a Chinese princess. It's the largest palace in the world and also the highest--it's set about 2.3 miles above sea level. This palace used to serve as the Dalai Lama's winter residence and the center of local Tibetan rule. The golden-roofed building has 13 stories and more than 1,000 rooms, and that's not all. It holds more than 50 miles of antique murals and more than 10,000 statues. What is this palace called?
