Animal Trade - puzzle - Brief Article

Ranger Rick, Jan, 1999

Oops--our artist goofed! He drew these animals on the wrong continents. Your job: Make things right.

You can help the animals get back home by figuring out which pairs should trade places. For example, if there were an elephant in North America and a polar bear in Africa, the two animals could trade places, and both would end up in their native lands. Write the numbers of the animals that should trade places on the lines in the yellow box.

Hint: If you're not sure where snowy owls, warthogs, and saddlebill storks live, you can find out in this issue of Ranger Rick. Put a check mark next to each animal when you've found a place for it. Answers are on page 11. --Ellen Holtzen
