EXTREME SPORTS … for Opossums - Poem

   A recklessly daring opossum
   Once thought
   it would be really awesome
   To swing by his tail
   Up high in a gale--
   Windsurf and hang-10
   without caution.

   When his tail failed,
   he clung like a blossom,
   While wind and wet snow
   chilled his paws numb.
   With a tight, frozen grip,
   Afraid he might slip,
   He couldn't climb down
   till he'd thawed some.
