Ski Fest '96 - cross-country ski areas in the US and Canada offer special events on January 7, 1996
Ranger Rick, Dec, 1995
Cross-country skiing is a great outdoor sport for the whole family. You not only get plenty of exercise, but you may get to see lots of winter wildlife. (Check out the story on pages 4-8.) If you'd like to try it, now's a good time to start.
On January 7, 1996, more than 150 cross-country ski areas in the United States and Canada are going to celebrate Ski Fest '96. Beginners will get free ski lessons. Many areas will have music and activities, along with free cookies, hot cocoa, and cross-country ski magazines!
