All across the country--and even around the world--kids are joining EarthSavers clubs. Each club does different things to help the environment around the members' homes and schools.
In an EarthSavers club in Gambia (a country in Africa), kids have learned how to make and use solar-powered cookers and to use sunlight to clean water.
At Mission San Jose Elementary School in Fremont, California, kids turned a weedy hill into a nature area. How? They packed it full of native plants. The first- and second-graders in the EarthSavers club take care of it.
There are now more than 5000 EarthSavers clubs. The National Wildlife Federation and Target Stores work together to make these clubs possible. Want to find out about starting a club? Ask an adult to write to:
