Michael J. Teale, executive vice president and assistant to the chairman of Kellogg Company retired March 16 following a 35-year career with Kellogg. Teale joined Kellogg in 1966. Teale moved in 1986 to Kellogg headquarters in Battle Creek, where he eventually became corporate vice president in 1989 and executive vice president, operations, Kellogg USA in 1990. He was promoted to senior vice president, global supply chain of Kellogg Company in 1994 and to his current position in 2000.

Christian Haub, president and CEO of The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc., was elected chairman of the company's board of directors, effective May 1. Haub succeeds James Wood, who will retire from A&P's board on April 30. Haub also will continue as president & CEO of the company.

Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. executive vice president John H. Purnell will retire effective March 31, company officials announced. Purnell will continue to attend Anheuser-Busch planning meetings and will also continue to serve as one of the Anheuser-Busch representatives on the board of directors of Grupo Modelo. Anheuser-Busch holds a sizeable stake in the Mexican brewer, whose brands include Corona. In addition, Purnell will become an executive in residence at Washington University's Olin School of Business.

Kraft Foods International has named Ann Daw as senior vice president of strategy and marketing development, Kraft Foods International. She is currently vice president, marketing and sales for Philip Morris International's Asia region. She will continue to oversee that division during a brief transition.

The Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America, Inc. (WSWA) announced today the appointment of Peggy England as Vice President for Public Affairs and Communications. England comes to WSWA from the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association in Washington, DC. Her extensive political experience includes serving as Communications Director for Senator Mike DeWine (R-OH), and Press Secretary for former Representative Barbara Vucanovich (R-NV). She also was a press/legislative assistant to former Representative Bill Green (R-NY), worked in the White House Office of Policy Development in the administration of former President Bush.

INNX, a news media company announced its appointment of former PepsiCo executive, Leonard Schutzman, as chairman of its board of directors. Schutzman's appointment follows last week's initial advertising agreement between INNX and consumer products giant Procter & Gamble. During his 20-year career, Schutzman served in a variety of senior executive positions at PepsiCo, Inc. Most recently, he was senior vice president and treasurer, responsible for PepsiCo's worldwide financing activities.
