Internet grocers Peapod.com, and Netgrocer.com announced that starting May 15 Netgrocer.com will offer its national pack and ship delivery service in lieu of "Peapod Packages" to current Packages customers and to visitors to Peapod's web site who are not in Peapod's local delivery area. The agreement comes as Peapod sharpens its focus on its core business of providing consumers with local delivery of groceries within selected markets throughout the eastern United States and in Peapod's home city of Chicago.
