Chiquita Brands International, Inc. announced that Jeffrey Brown has been promoted to senior vice president of global supply chain operations for its Chiquita Fresh Group. Based in Antwerp, Belgium, Brown most recently served as vice president of global logistics for Chiquita Fresh. He is also president of Great White Fleet, Ltd., Chiquita's shipping subsidiary.

In his new role, Brown will be responsible for global supply chain planning, corporate procurement, ocean shipping, container fleet management, logistics and port/terminal operations in Latin America, North America and Europe, and supply chain corporate responsibility.
