Susan M. Angele will join Hershey Foods as vice president, deputy general counsel, and chief governance officer effective September 8, 2003. Angele will have responsibility for guiding Hershey's compliance with corporate governance guidelines and regulations set by Congress, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York Stock Exchange.

Angele joins Hershey from Kraft Foods. She has held a variety of legal positions over the past 20 years. Most recently, Angele was head legal counsel and a member of the executive team of the Biscuit, Snacks and Confections segment of Kraft Foods.
