Confectionery company Hershey Foods has announced that David J. West, senior vice president of business planning and development, has been named senior vice president of sales, effective December 1, 2002. West joined Hershey in May 2001 as vice president of business planning and development, with responsibility for internal and external corporate development as well as for corporate-wide business planning processes.

Prior to joining Hershey, he was senior vice president/chief financial officer of Nabisco Biscuit and Snacks Group, with responsibility for leading the financial function of Kraft Foods' biscuits, confections and salty snacks businesses.
