SYSCO Corporation, North America's largest foodservice marketer and distributor, will construct a "fold-out" facility in South Carolina. The new facility, on the outskirts of Columbia, is expected to be operational by the first quarter of calendar year 2002. This announcement comes less than two months after the Houston-based company disclosed plans to construct a "fold-out" operation in Las Vegas.

Two additional ones under construction in Sacramento, CA and in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia will be completed in calendar year 2001.
