Now all nicotine, in any form, may be nixed. Helton notes that there is precedent for banning certain products under NASCAR's "morality issue," including hard liquor and anything considered pornographic. It is ironic that tobacco--for decades a mainstay of the sport--will probably end up in that banned category.

NASCAR is promoting a more positive, family-friendly image and tobacco--in any form--no longer fits.
