(1) 1984 Detroit Tigers World Champion 30" Pennant--Huge 6" Tigers logo. Players' names in 10" scroll. Very Fine condition. It is now some two decades old and has a $55 value in The Standard Catalog of Sports Memorabilia. Baseball Digest Special: $39.95
(2) 1986 Boston Red Sox Pennant--Net as happy as the 2004 season, this is the infamous Bill Buckner World Series. The Sox were formidable American League Champs. This 28" pennant has a huge picture that shows the entire team plus the Sox logo at the top and "American League Champions" at the bottom. Near Mint condition. $24.95
(3) (Brooklyn Dodgers--New York Yankees--New York Giants) Wait Till Next Year, 1997. By Pulitzer Prize winner Doris Kearns Goodwin. It is about NY in the 1950s where neighborhoods were divided among Dodger, Giant, and Yankee fans. Doris was a Dodger fan, thus the title of the book. It was a glorious era in baseball, when one of the three NY teams was in the World Series every year, and the corner stores were the scenes of affectionate rivalries. 261 pages. Illustrated. Mint in dust wrapper. $20
(4) (New York Yankees Chronology Record Book) This first edition paperback book lists Yankee yearly and career statistics and analysis. A full composite on the Yankees, with rookie records listed separately. 105 pages. Many photos. Mint. $9.95
(5) Mark McGwire Homerun Record 17" Rawlings Commemorative Bat--It has a picture of Mark inside the #70. Relive the friendly rivalry that McGwire and Sammy Sosa had in 1998 by owning this wonderful collectible that is in brand new condition. $15
(6) 50th Anniversary Hall of Fame Commemorative Package. From 1989, much more than a first day cover. Large image of Gehrig stamp with explanation on why Gehrig was chosen for this 50th Anniversary piece. One portion depicts an "Iron Horse" locomotive with Gehrig's #4. Also included is the actual stamp with First Day of Issue Cooperstown postmark plus Gehrig's history. (A news article from 1989 states that only 3500 of these were produced). It sold for $75 just two days after its issue date!! Mint. $20
