CHARACTERISTIC I ADMIRE MOST IN A PERSON: Personality
BEST TIME OF MY LIFE/WHY? Seeing the birth of my first daughter. It was very special.
PLAYER I LEARNED THE MOST FROM: I was fortunate to have several players on my way up through the minor leagues and in the big leagues help me.
IF I COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT BASEBALL IT WOULD BE: I'd be able to hit a home run every time up.
IF NOT A BASEBALL PLAYER I WOULD HAVE BEEN: Either a chef at Benihana's or a meteorologist.
BEHIND MY BACK THEY SAY: I don't know. They probably think I'm funny.
TOUGHEST PITCHER I'VE FACED: Randy Johnson
LIFE AFTER BASEBALL: Hopefully relaxing and happy.
MY BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: That we haven't won much here in Pittsburgh.
THE MOST IMPORTANT ATTRIBUTE A BASEBALL PLAYER NEEDS: I suppose dealing with the daily ups and downs of the game.
MY MOST EMBARRASSING BASEBALL EXPERIENCE: I'm embarrassed every day I go out there. It's such a humbling game. I can't think of one particular incident.
MY MOST MEMORABLE GAME: Probably my first game when I was called up to the big leagues. I was with Cleveland at the time. My first start was against Boston and Roger Clemens. I got a hit off him in that game, a guy who's going to the Hall of Fame. That was pretty cool.
