Sports Illustrated rated the NBA players on a Player Value Rating from 1 to 348. Mark Madsen was No. 345, meaning he is the fourth-lowest rated player in the league, yet he was picked for the Goodwill Games team. How can that be? I guess this year's All-Stars will include, in no particular order of talent, Brian Cardinal, Madsen, Eric Chenowith, Cherokee Parks, and Bryant "Big Country" Reeves.
Now that is a boatload of deadwood if I ever saw one.
