The 2004 NBA champion Detroit Pistons had one second-round selection and three undrafted players (including Ben Wallace) on their playoff roster. 4. Before 2004, their had never been more than four high-schoolers taken in the first round of an NBA draft. But in 2004, a record eight were selected: Howard (No. 1), Shaun Livingston (No. 4), Robert Swift (No. 12), Sebastian Telfair (No. 13), Al Jefferson (No. 15), Josh Smith (No. 17), J.R. Smith (No. 18) and Dorell Wright (No. 19). 5. CSKA Moscow became the first international team to have two players drafted off of its roster in the first round of an NBA draft. The Portland Trail Blazers selected Viktor Khryapa at No. 22 overall and Sergei Monia at No. 23. 6.
