THE LAST TWO EVENTS OF THE PBA season saw the number of players earning $100,000 or more to a record 15 in 30 total events. Doug Kent's win at the World Championship in Toledo--where he picked up a record $120,000--moved him from 25th to second place on the money list ($182,510). Brian Voss earned $20,000 with a third-place finish in Toledo and also pushed his season earnings into six figures ($116,883).

In the final event of the season, the Battle at Little Creek, Bob Learn Jr. became the 15th player to crack $100,000. The previous record of 12 players earning more than $100,000 in a single season was set in 1993 (36 tournaments) and 1994 (30 tournaments).
