Chamberlain adds a win to his list of 2003 accomplishments - PBA Senior: Days Inn Open

Bowling Digest, Dec, 2003

Bob Chamberlain found his groove en route to his fourth Senior title in the PBA Senior Days Inn Open. Chamberlain took a few frames to find his shot and then got locked in to throw eight consecutive strikes to win the first game, 269-234. "I got in a rhythm and started making crisp shots," Chamberlain said. "In practice, I didn't feel as if I had a good shot, but I found it in the game and stayed there."

In the second game, Bongiorno struggled and started with two opens. "I don't know what happened in that match," Bongiorno said. "I knew he was going to have another big game and there was just nothing I could do to match it."

Chamberlain again found a solid groove, throwing nine consecutive strikes to defeat Bongiorno, 279-165, to win the title and $9,000 first prize. This was the second time that Chamberlain beat Bongiorno for a title, following 2001's PBA Northwest Senior Classic.
