Keep on playing those mind games: when it comes to the mental side of bowling, approach and preparation make all the difference - A Pro's Approach

Bowling Digest, Feb, 2002 by Parker Bohn, III

Recently, Pete got a little revenge, beating me in the title match of the Great Lakes Classic in Grand Rapids, Mich. During the semifinals, Pete rolled a 299 and was clearly bowling very strongly, showing the emotion that is uniquely Pete. But I couldn't worry about that. The biggest thing to remember when you're bowling is that you can only control your own destiny.

Whether Pete or any of my other opponents are stringing together strikes or wheezing their way into a match with me, I still have to bowl my own game and make every shot count.
