So long, Vet - The Fans Speak Out

I enjoyed your article on Veterans Stadium ["It's a Hellhole," March 2003]. I've been going to games there my whole life, and I will miss the Vet and the great memories we had there. The Vet was a great place to play and gave the Philadelphia Eagles the ultimate home-field advantage. The fans in Philly may not always be the most polite, but the passion we have for our teams makes us the best fans in the world. The Eagles played well at the Vet, but it was the fans who made it a truly special place, and a place the opposition feared.
