Emmitt's record run - The Fans Speak Out

I'm tired of people bashing Emmitt Smith as he gets close to breaking Walter Payton's all-time rushing record. I can't think of another player who deserves the record more than Emmitt. He's won three Super Bowls, a league most valuable player award, and multiple rushing titles. Most importantly, he has been the type of player the Dallas Cowboys have been able to count on year in and year out.

He's been a rock of consistency, which is exactly why he's in position to break Payton's record. Emmitt is one of the greatest players ever, and he should be recognized as exactly that.
