Growing up

Football Digest, Dec, 2004 by Nathan Levels

I thought your article on Jack Del Rio was really interesting. ["Growing Pains," November 2004]. He definitely made some mistakes last season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but I think his system finally is starting to take hold. The players seem to respond to him, and he has a lot of talent to work with. I especially like Byron Leftwich, who still is learning the quarterback position but is the kind of leader a team needs to contend for the coveted Super Bowl title. Within a couple of years, the Jaguars will be one of the best teams in the AFC, just like they were in the late 1990s.
