In response to your article on changes that need to be made in the NFL ["Change Is Good," December 2003], I have two more suggestions to add:
Regarding your change No. 6, on reducing the number of playoff teams. I think the number of teams should not be reduced, but the teams should be seeded from one to 12 based on record. That way the two best teams would have a better shot at meeting in the Super Bowl.
Regarding No. 7, on the uniforms. You didn't go far enough. I not only would bring back the old colors, but I also would get rid of the rules regarding the numbers on the uniforms. I would like to see players be able to express themselves (remember Jim Otto's No. 00?) instead of having to act like robots on the field.
