Lighten up - The Fans Speak Out

This letter is in response to Michael Azre's article "This Fan Never Came Back" [February 2003]. Baltimore fans were heartbroken when Robert Irsay took the Colts to Indianapolis in 1984. The commissioner let them keep our colors and the Colts name, then screwed us every time we tried to get a new team.

When Art Modell brought your Cleveland Browns to Baltimore, we were happy, but we felt your pain. You did, however, get to keep your name and colors, unlike us when the Colts left. You also didn't have to wait 12 years for a new team. So go ahead and watch your new Browns and enjoy them.
