Looking for Langlois - The Fans Speak Out

Hockey Digest, Jan, 2003 by Bill White

I am trying to locate a high school classmate of mine who graduated from Messick High School in Memphis in 1951. She supposedly married a pro hockey player with the last name of Langlois. I located an Albert Langlois on the Goggle Web site who played for the Detroit Red Wings from 1964 to 1967. I also found another Albert Langlois who appears much older and he played for the Montreal Canadiens (1944 to 1964). I obtained pictures of both these two and they appear to be related. Could you assist me in where I could obtain some biographical information on these two former hockey players.

Bill, only one Albert Langlois played in the NHL. Born in 1934, his career lasted from 1957 to 1966. The defenseman began in Montreal, where he won the Stanley Cup his first three years in the league. He was then traded to the Rangers, where he played two-plus years, before being shipped to the Red Wings on Valentine's Day, 1964. Following the 1964-65 season he was dealt to Boston, where he played one season. After a season with the Los Angeles Blades of the WHL, he hung up the skates.

One other Langlois played in the NHL. Charlie Langlois played four seasons in the league from 1924-1928, but given he would have been 56 when you graduated high school and passed away in 1965, we're betting Albert is your man.
