Six degrees of Lindros - The Fans Speak Out

Hockey Digest, March, 2002 by Joe Consolazio

In a sidebar to "The Lindros Saga" [December], you mentioned how the Avs (nee Nordiques) turned the Eric Lindros trade into a bonanza that directly led to them winning two Stanley Cup titles. Specifically you mentioned how they traded Steve Duchesne, who was part of the original trade, for Claude Lemieux, a key member of the '96 title team.

Well, go a couple of steps further. Lemieux was traded to New Jersey for Brian Rolston, who was then traded to Boston for no other then Ray Bourque.
