Up in flames

Hockey Digest, Sept-Oct, 2004 by Dave Kunst

I was just leafing through the 2003-04 NHL Preview edition [November 2003] and wanted to see what you had predicted for the Calgary Flames. "The once proud Flames haven't been in the playoffs since 1996, and that won't change this year ..."

You might as well have a chimp making your predictions for you each season for all the good that they are, and believe me it's not your fault. The days of NHL dynasties are long gone. In a way I like this better. It seems as if every year there is a surprise in the Stanley Cup Finals, and that is a good thing. Who would have thought the Flames would be the team this year. I sure didn't. Keep up the good work. I have been a loyal reader for eight years.
