Alex Donohue pointed out that Lamar Hunt spent his own money to build Columbus Crew Stadium ["The Fans Speak Out," May 2003]. That is excellent. Mr. Hunt should receive a mountain of praise for personally taking direct action concerning this important issue, rather than simply finding a way to use public funds for his own benefit. It's just too bad that other businessmen can't do the same thing.

Mr. Hunt should receive a mountain of praise. He has been a tireless soccer supporter for years, and recently even manned the phones himself to woo potential Kansas City Wizards ticket buyers. American soccer fans owe him their gratitude.
