HHG, the parent company of the defunct wrestling federating Extreme Championship Wrestling, has filed for bankruptcy, dashing any hopes that the so-called third major federation will ever see the light of day again.

In the filing, the company claimed to have assets of $1.3 million, while owing over $8.8 million to various parties. Over $500,000 alone is owed to a host of wrestlers including Rob Van Dam ($150,000), Tommy Dreamer ($100,000), Rhyno ($50,000), Francine ($47,275), Shane Douglas ($48,000), Roadkill ($21,250), Don Callis ($12,000), Super Crazy ($5,000), and Tajiri ($5,000).
