Mtv Begins Airing "Tough Enough" - Brief Article

The WWF may no longer have the XFL, but now it's got "WWF Tough Enough," a reality show that debuted on MTV on June 21. The 13-week series tells the tale of 13 wannabe wrestlers competing for two potential spots on the WWF roster. Only two contestants, one man and one woman, will last and be signed to wrestle for the WWF Eight men and five women were chosen for the show out of thousands of applications.

Two hundred semifinalists auditioned in a ring at WWF New York in Times Square to narrow down the selection.
