Topic: RSS FeedRubbed "Raw" - The Fans Speak Out
Wrestling Digest, Feb, 2003 by Mitch Turow
I know a lot of people are disappointed with everything going on in WWE, but I'm annoyed for a different reason. I am in an area where we don't receive UPN, which means we don't get "Smackdown." To me, the future of wrestling is the highflying style. In my eyes, "Raw" is getting the short end of the stick. "Smackdown" has all the high-flyers, the best tag teams, Brock Lesnar, and countless other assets. The only outlet to the "Smackdown" side of the locker room I see is on "Velocity," and just from that little sample, it makes "Raw" look like a pile of you-know-what.
Here are some ideas I have for "Raw" to be up to par with "Smackdown":
1. Sign Sabu and train him so he can be appreciated in WWE.
2. Reunite the Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm with Dawn Marie).
3. Split up the high-flying mater so that each brand can have their own high-flyers.
4. Take out the Undertaker, Chris Jericho, and others like them bemuse it is time for the up-and-comers to take over. I am so sick of the Undertaker, he's so boring.
5. Give Kane a new gimmick. I can't be the only one who is tired of the "burned" gimmick.
6. Add some excitement to the federation. I can remember not being able to fall asleep after "Raw" because I was so pumped. When I saw Steve Austin come out in beer trucks or when real rivalries would play a role in the federation, nothing was better. Now, the best thing we see is Kane being accused of murder--who cares?
7. The creative staff should stay at the office a little later because they're ideas lately stink.
